Trap & Skeet – General Information

Shooters wishing to shoot at WSC must complete the following (Non‑members welcome):

1. Familiarize themselves with the WSC Range Safety Rules.
2. Review & sign the WSC Range Waiver Form annually.
3. Register and sign‑in at the range shack prior to shooting.
4. New members must attend a WSC Range Orientation and Safety Course at the earliest opportunity (a nominal one‑time fee applies).
5. Beginner & novice shooters welcome — instruction available by appointment.
6. Range reservations available for private functions, stags, hunting clubs, meet & greets, etc.

Summer Hours (April to October)

• Saturday: 9am–2pm — Skeet & Trap Open (Last Squad 1:30pm)
• Sunday: 9am–2pm — Skeet & Trap Open (Last Squad 1:30pm)
• Thursday: Cancelled temporarily (Reopening when berm is completed)
• Holidays: 9am–2pm — Skeet & Trap Open (Last Squad 1:30pm)
• Last Sunday of the month — Range Closed

Winter Hours (November to March)

• Saturday: 10:30am–2:30pm — Skeet & Trap Open (Last Squad 2:00pm)
• Sunday: Not scheduled at this time
• Thursday: Cancelled temporarily (Reopening when berm is completed)
• Last Sunday of the month — Range Closed

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to Last Squad time to check available space.

The range closes after the last squad finishes shooting.

Fees & Memberships

(Per round of 25 clay targets)

• WSC Members: $8.00 per round with a Trap & Skeet Associate Membership
• Trap & Skeet Associate Membership: $100.00 annually (Available at Range Shack)
• Non‑members: $10.00 per round + $10.00 Day Fee (Valid PAL required)
• Note: Non‑member rates also apply to WSC Members without an Associate Membership
• WSC General Membership available at the Range Shack
• Bulk shooting packages available (Buy 10 rounds, get 1 free)
• Youth/Student (18 or younger): $5.00 per round (Day fee not applicable)

2026 Member Pre‑Shot Packages

With the introduction of the Target Tag system we also have new package options for our members looking to pre‑purchase their rounds. The standard single round and 10 + 1 shooters card pricing is all still available.

Shooter Requirements

All shooters must show proof of a Valid PAL

Non‑PAL holders must be accompanied & supervised by a Valid PAL holder

Ear & eye protection is mandatory (Limited loaners available)

Ammunition Types

Skeet Range: #9 shot (Target Loads)

Trap Range: #7½ or #8 shot (Target Loads)

Range Rules

1. Safety glasses & hearing protection required.
2. All shooters must have a valid PAL or be supervised by a PAL holder.
3. No drugs or alcohol in the vicinity of the ranges.
4. Skeet Range:
   • - Max 12‑gauge, min barrel 26"
   • - Only 2¾" shells, #9 shot
   • - Two shells allowed on Stations 1–7; one on Station 8
   • - Actions open until in position
   • - Tactical shotguns not permitted
5. Trap Range:
   • - Max 12‑gauge, min barrel 26"
   • - Only 2¾" shells, #7½ shot or smaller
   • - One shell loaded for singles
   • - Tactical shotguns not permitted
6. Maintain safe muzzle direction at all times.
7. Misfire/hang‑fire: keep action closed 60 seconds, then inspect barrel.
8. Transporting firearms: PROVED safe, action open, barrel up.
9. Obey all RSO commands.
10. Firearms unloaded with actions open when moving between stations.
11. Pick up spent hulls only after firearm is in the rack.
12. Remove slings & accessories before attending firing lines.
